Biography

Bao Chau is a part-time curator and full-time art manager. She organizes the biennial Dogma Prize – a contemporary art prize for self-portraiture and manages the Dogma Collection – a private Vietnamese propaganda art archive.

Bao Chau’s approach to artistic and cultural subject matters is pragmatic and unromaticized, an honest attempt to investigate and reflect upon the present concerns of her cohort amidst the erratic pace of the country to morph into the global scene. Such endeavor also feeds into her constant pondering on what defines the Vietnam identity.

Bao Chau graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore in Fashion Design and from the Istituto di Design, Italy in Arts Management.
