Featuring the light-box documentation of artist Tran Minh Duc in performance; the delicate silk work of Le Hoang Bich Phuong and her animal/human characters; the provocative social contemplations of photographer Phan Quang; the fictional histories of Phan Thao Nguyen’s bowing painted figures; the filmic stills of a ‘machine equestrian’ waltz by conceptualist UuDam Tran Nguyen and last but not least, the film work of artist Pham Ngoc Lan with his poetic capturing of Hanoi transforming its urban traditions. Senior war-veteran, Vo An Khanh’s field-work photography, showcasing what might be a stage but really, it’s what actually took place, is also on view in our downstairs Reading Room. San Art’s ‘Galleria’ program is available for sale and all proceedings go towards artist and community in our mission as non-profit in a country with no financial support for contemporary art.
