In the 30 days since the last Open Studio, there have been fascinating developments in the studio of Nguyen and Ngoc. Moving away from experimental sculpture with coal, Ngoc is now discovering new possibilities behind coal powder, turning what could potentially become destructive gunfire into creative means on blank canvas. She will also share with visitors an exciting and thoughtful miniature adventure in ‘the land of light’. Nguyen on the other hand is giving new life to old jute, creating rebirth in not only form and use but also in meaning and context. See the same intriguing process in her new paintings and discuss with her the idea of history as fiction.
