Sàn Art gives warm welcome to the artists-in-residence of the third session of ‘Sàn Art Laboratory’: Ngoc Nau (Hanoi), Phan Thao Nguyen (Ho Chi Minh City) who begin their 6 month residency from 1st June, 2013.

Sàn Art Laboratory offers a dynamic space for experimentation for Session Three participants during their first few months of initial research. Come visit their studio, get to know the artists, and learn about their work and process. Discuss with Thao the spontaneous drawings in her visual diary and find out more about jute, a plant with a complex history. Join Ngoc in exploring light in all shapes and forms or rediscover your physics lessons about our source of sight that you have long forgotten. Also, challenge your perspective with the layered photographic works of John Monteith, which he took of historic remnants in Vietnam, Germany, and North Korea.

Above all, enjoy the creative dialogue and become part of arts in the making.

Snacks and drinks will be provided for your summer revelry.
