Phan Thao Nguyen (b. 1987, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. Graduating with a Master in Fine Arts at the Chicago Institute of Art, Nguyen is a multimedia artist who uses painting, installation, video and performance to depict historical and contemporary concepts. Through literature, philosophy and daily life, she observes ambiguous issues in social convention and tradition. Thao Nguyen is also member of the collective Art Labor.
