Between 3-6 November 2016, San Art sponsored an online moving-image exhibition called ‘Embedded South(s)’. Screening worldwide, it featured the work of 29 artists (short film, documentary and video art) from South Asia, South East Asia, Latin America and Africa.
Titled ‘Seismograph: Sensing the City—Art In the Urban Age’, the Southeast Asia forum 2016 “… will explore the role of artists as seismographs of society’s pulses….” by featuring artists “… who delve into issues and sentiments relating to extremely rapid urbanisation and to the evolution of contemporary society in their own countries.”
For the first time in Vietnam, a health care institution has collaborated with contemporary art practitioners. The project ‘The adventure of Color Wheel’ is a project creating public artwork, which is initiated and realized by Art Labor collective from July 2014 to January 2015 at Pediatrics Department, HCMC Eye Hospital.

This exhibition, carefully conceived by Iola Lenzi in collaboration with Natalia Kraevskaia, not only highlights the pioneer artist Vu Dan Tan, but puts him in dialogue with an artist of the younger generation, Nguyen Nghia Cuong.
