(The entire dialogue of the play 3Ps)

2 actors, 1 director-prompter. The woman sits. The man stands. Minimal movement and 7 lines of dialogue in a play for 20 minutes.

Developed from a minimalist formula that allows many variations, the latest version of Nguyen Bich Tra’s play 3Ps opens up performative and interdisciplinary questions. If narrative is no longer the main focus, what are the elements that produce the drama of theater? What happens when movement or the body’s choreography has been almost annihilated? Where is the audience in the play after they have received the behavioral instructions from the director at the beginning of the play?

Going off of connections in cinema, painting and music, the two curators / artists Vicky Do and Truong Que Chi will lead a discussion for the audience to exchange thoughts on theater through the staging of the play 3Ps by Tra Nguyen.
